Mike Byrnes joins us as the first sponsored skater. Representing the east coast and hailing from NJ Mike is out there tearing shit up everyday, we know he sends us pictures on the regular. Not only is he a talented young skate with a ton of promise but him and his friends are big into photography, sounds like a bonus for us. That and he’ll break decks trying to get a shot for us! So I was out putting together an order for Tassel & Teeter (www.tasselandteeter.com) and decided that gold shimmer would make a good color for the printed care label on the Open Mic Tee. Why not right light purple with a gold shimmer label, it is so sick. Gold shimmer is the new color, don’t be surprised if you see some new gear coming out with the gold shimmer, in fact I may just have everything printed in gold shimmer from now on, that and neon green.

Oh yeah and if you haven’t heard of Tassel & Teeter, check em out when you got a chance they have a pretty rad line up and yes they will be carrying AS|ONE real soon, some new stuff, things you haven’t even seen yet. Oh and the “Open Mic” tee in a more vintagey slimmer fitting tee with the damn gold shimmer.

So it has been around a year that AS|ONE has been out there doing it’s thing and things are certainly starting to show promise. As we head into the winter season we have our eyes on the new year and what it may hold. When I set out to do this around two years ago I had no idea what the future may hold for the company but I knew that I had to give it a shot because I felt that I could bring something slightly different to the industry. Now that I look back at the ups and downs the company has experienced I don’t regret for a moment, any of it.

With our new line mostly out of sample production and getting ready to hit a few new retailers I take a look at it and feel proud of the fact that it shows some of our best work to date. I know that I seem to say that with the release of each new t-shirt but that is the way this suppose to work right, you are supposed to show progress through the years. With that said we will continue to market it hard bringing AS|ONE to one of your local shops is our goal through and through for the new year. In return you will start to see us head back in the direction we were once charted for by bringing back some new limited edition work, a number of charitable contributions and the continued support of the action sports industry and our team members. Hoping that we can secure a small amount of outside financing and bring on some talented sales reps in the near future the year ahead looks bright for us. To all of those that have supported us and seen our vision even when it is not given the chance to manifest itself how we see fit, we appreciate it. Help us to continue spreading the word about AS|ONE and things can only get better…
